COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Youth in our community programs are matched with an adult Big to build relationships, explore community resources, and ignite potential. Our community matches spend time one-on-one in the community, whether at a park, the library, coffee shops, etc.
In order to enroll in our community program, youth must:
Be 5-15 years of age
Express a genuine interest in the program
Be capable of forming a safe and meaningful relationship with an adult mentor
Commit to a minimum of 12 months once matched with a mentor
Be willing to complete all required training and meetings with BBBSYC staff
In order to enroll as a community Big you must:
Be 18 years or older
Pass a background check
Have references
